What each gift pays for
Tuition for the 12-month DNA Mentorship, paid to Central Church on behalf of a named participant.
A translation production pass on one course into one language: curriculum, supporting materials, subtitling and native-speaker review.
A platform licence purchased from W2G Education LLC and granted to a beneficiary church at no cost to that church.
A monthly live-translation allocation purchased from W2G Education LLC and granted to a beneficiary church at no cost to that church.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Snowball Fund does not store card details, and a receipt is emailed automatically for every gift.
Our relationship with program partners
Two of our four projects purchase licences from W2G Education LLC, a for-profit company, and grant them to beneficiary churches free of charge. Our sponsorship levels reflect what those licences cost us. Snowball Fund earns no revenue from this arrangement, does not resell the platform, and a donor does not receive the software — the beneficiary church does.
The other two projects fund scholarships and translation for the DNA program, which is created and owned by Central Church. We fund access to it; we do not own or profit from the curriculum, including translations we pay for.
Both relationships are described in more detail on our about page. We disclose them prominently because a donor should never have to work out where their money actually lands.
What we have not published yet
Snowball Fund is in its first funding cycle. Being straightforward about the gaps seems better than letting a well-designed page imply a track record we do not have:
- No annual financial report yet. Our first full cycle has not closed. When it does, the financials will be published here.
- No verified impact statistics yet. We do not publish invented ones. Our intended measures — and why we chose them — are on the impact page.
- Governance details still being formalised. Leadership is José Alexandre Almeida; further board and officer information will be added to the about page as it is confirmed.
If you are considering a significant gift and want documentation before deciding, please contact us and we will answer directly.
Designated and excess funds
Gifts designated for a specific project stay with that project. If a project's target cannot be met within a reasonable period, we contact the donors involved before redirecting anything. Undesignated gifts are allocated to whichever project is furthest from being funded.
