Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Snowball Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation, and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.

Will I receive a giving statement?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Stripe emails a payment receipt immediately, and donors receive a giving statement for their records that can be used for tax purposes.

Can I give to more than one project at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add as many projects as you like before checking out. One exception: recurring gifts and one-time gifts have to be checked out separately, because they are processed differently. The donation summary will tell you if you need to split them.

Can I cancel or change a recurring gift?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. Contact us at contact@snbfund.org and we will make the change. There is no minimum commitment period.

Question 5

Can organisations, churches or foundations donate?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and they are welcome. For corporate sponsorships, large gifts, or funding a specific church, region or language, contact us directly so we can direct the gift properly.

Can I choose the specific church or pastor my gift supports?

Not through the website checkout. Recipients are selected together with our program partners based on need and readiness. If you want to target a specific church, region or language, contact us — targeted gifts are welcome and we will confirm the arrangement in writing.

Question 7

What is DNA, and does Snowball Fund run it?

DNA is a cell-church training program for pastors and leaders created by Central Church. Snowball Fund does not create, own or teach it — we fund scholarships and translation so leaders who could not otherwise afford or read the curriculum can reach it.

Who is eligible to receive a scholarship?

Pastors and nominated church leaders who have completed the DNA 1 and DNA 2 seminars and are ready to lead a transition in their own church, but for whom the cost of the mentorship year is prohibitive. Leadership teams are prioritised over individuals.

Question 9

How does a church apply to be a beneficiary?

Beneficiary churches are currently identified together with our program partners. If your church would like to be considered for a sponsored digital school, live translation, or scholarships, contact us with your church name, location, size and what you are trying to build.

Why fund technology instead of sending money directly to churches?

Accepted Answer

Because the specific things we fund are the ones a small church cannot buy on its own: a tuition line, a translation budget, a software licence. A small cash grant tends to be absorbed by operating costs. A translated curriculum or a sponsored platform is a capability the church keeps using every week.

How is impact calculated on this site?

The figures shown are funding allocations — what a given amount buys and for whom — not results already achieved. Reach numbers in the digital school calculator are planning estimates based on typical small-church attendance, not measured outcomes. Snowball Fund has no verified impact statistics of its own yet, and we do not publish invented ones.

What is Snowball Fund's relationship with W2G?

W2G is W2G Education LLC, a for-profit company that builds the digital school and live translation platforms. Snowball Fund purchases licences from W2G and grants them to beneficiary churches at no cost to those churches. We earn no revenue from this and do not resell the platform — a donation is a charitable gift, not a purchase, and the donor does not receive the software.

José Alexandre Almeida is responsible for the organisation's programs, partnerships and donor correspondence. We are a young organisation and further governance details will be published on the about page as they are confirmed.

Question 14

Where can I verify your nonprofit status?

Accepted Answer

The full IRS determination letter is published on our transparency page. If you need the EIN in writing or any other documentation before making a significant gift, contact us and we will provide it.

Question 15

What happens to funds that exceed a project's target?

Accepted Answer

Gifts designated for a specific project stay with that project. If a target cannot be met within a reasonable period, we contact the donors involved before redirecting anything. Undesignated gifts go to whichever project is furthest from being funded.
