Suicide is one of the most important public health problems we face as a nation. We have one of the highest suicide rates among developed countries. This year alone, there was an average of about 67 suicides per day within our homes! Depression is another issue that plagues our families! About 10% of the American population suffers from depression, raising this issue to epidemic levels. And anxiety? Studies and research show that 20% of our population suffers from some form of anxiety disorder.
Anyway, we could spend hours discussing data that proves we have a serious problem in our society, but the main question is: As Christians, can we do something about it?
We firmly believe that the origin of many of these problems lies in the disconnection of our new generation from Christian practices and family values. Not because they stopped believing, but mainly because we need to format God’s message within the parameters of today’s society. We need to speak in a way they understand and through channels they frequent. We need to be a part of their lives, just as our parents and grandparents were with us.
Within this line, our proposal for this first project is to invest in and develop 5 YouTube channels of music to calm the mind.
There are already many studies that prove that music to relax the mind is capable of reducing stress and anxiety levels by up to 65%.
So imagine if we could create channels with this theme and that still came “embraced” in quality Christian content? Imagine if we could help all these young people while at the same time passing on God’s message, in a format they understand and on the channel they listen to, with an increasingly larger audience?
First, we will invest in 5 channels, but still small, with about 5,000 subscribers each, that is, we project an initial audience of 25,000 people. We will then open up space in the videos published, completely free of charge, for partners who already have recognized work in Christian projects, such as Man in the Mirror, Y2believe, and so many other brothers and sisters who have beautiful projects, but often have difficulty promoting their work. The idea is to expand the network and audience of those who make a difference! At the same time, part of the channel’s monetization may be allocated to Christian entities that combat depression, anxiety, suicide, and chemical dependence, thus forming a virtuous circle.
God’s plan is much bigger. And now it starts to get good!
In the first year, we will work to increase this audience by 10 times, with a goal of reaching an incredible 250,000 subscribers to the channels. More young people being impacted. More sons and daughters reconnecting. More families reuniting.
In the second year, the goal is to grow even more, reaching 750,000 subscribers! Can you imagine how many lives we will be saving? How many smiles and hugs we will be providing? Let us give you an idea of how big this can get. This number of subscribers can have a potential audience of about 50 times greater, that is, it means that 750,000 subscribers have a potential of almost 38 million views on the channel’s videos. This happens because part of the audience that consumes content does not always subscribe, and it is frequent, in this type of content, for a subscriber to consume a video more than once.
In the third year, we want to reach the mark of 1.5 million subscribers! Can you imagine the good we would be doing for so many people in such a short time? Can you imagine how much we would be directly impacting all the indices we mentioned above? Can you imagine that we can truly be saving an entire generation? Can you imagine a greater good than this?
